Scramble Baka Shorts

The Baka set almost had a very different name. Originally, we were going to call it “Baku,” inspired by bakuhatsu—the Japanese word for “explosion.” It made sense: the Scramble logos on the set are stylized like they’ve been blown apart, scattered in a chaotic, high-impact kind of way. Total visual fireworks.

But in the end, we went with Baka—because honestly, it’s funnier. If you know a little Japanese, you’ll know baka means “stupid” or “idiot,” and that goofy energy just kind of fit. Baka survivor! The name doesn’t take itself too seriously—and neither should you.

Name aside, here’s what actually matters: this is hands-down one of the best no-gi sets we’ve ever released. Performance, fit, and feel are all on point. Whether you're rolling for real or just clowning around at open mat, the Baka set brings the heat.
